Main Steps & Principles
- Finding the right lot and location.
- Selecting a design and meeting with the architect.
- Applying for necessary permits.
- Meeting with designers and trades for pricing.
- Estimates (with breakdown) are given to owner to decide on trades.
- Setting up the trades to commence construction.
- Financing is available OAC.
- Owner is involved at all times.
- Owner receives contractor prices.
- Changes can be made at all times, but sometimes at a cost.
- Sticking to the budget is imperative.
- Insurance must be aquired.
- Building codes must be met.
